 In my commercial, I will be advertising the brand Fashion Nova. Fashion Nova is a clothing retailer based in Los Angeles. They have street wear and modern clothing for women, men, and kids. Their clothes are made for all body types. Fashion Nova really took off when Kylie Jenner and Khloe Kardashian posted about their partnership promoting the brand. Fashion Nova does not usually have commercials. They advertise on social media platforms. The camera angles often start from low angle to high angles as the models are walking towards the camera. The cameras are usually hand held because all the camera man has to do is start from a low angle and back up to get the model's full body. The model's appearances are usually thick or plus size. Their hair and makeup is always done. Some props that the models of Fashion Nova use are purses and sometimes chairs and tables. The models use these props to add pizzazz to the outfit that they are modeling. There is usually no sound in their advertising videos on social media. If there is sound it's nothing but the people in the background. Close ups are not usually used a lot or for a very long time in their videos. Close ups are not necessary unless the advertising is for sunglasses, purses, shoes, and other accessories. Fashion Nova uses models that are known and seen modeling for other companies. Lots of celebrities are also seen wearing and promoting Fashion Nova. Overall Fashion Nova is great and made for everyone.

 Hi. Welcome back to my blog. Today is March 8 and we still have not started filming. Our first filming date was supposed to be March 5 which was a day we had school. My group members also had to work. I knew from that that we wouldn’t have much success in filming together that day. As I stated before, most of the filming will be done at our own houses. This is because the covid-19 cases are still high. We’re trying not to be too close to each other during this process. While brainstorming for ideas for this film we thought of us having a conversation on the phone. This will show us all at our own houses. We will eventually meet up to film the last part of our movie. We just have to know each other’s schedules. Some days we want to record, I might have practice. 1.  How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues? My product uses conventions by using actual people instead of mannequins to model the clothes. It also uses conventions by having different angles. My product challenges conventions by using both genders in one commercial and I didn't use a green screen for my background. It represents social groups by helping people express themselves through clothing. It also allows videographers to perfect their craft. It represents social issues because there is a lack of representation for people of color in fashion, it promotes gender equality by having an equal amount of both gender models.
