Hi, this is my commercial. My commercial is based on Fashion Nova. This was my very first time doing something like this. It was actually a lot of fun. My favorite part of filming was trying not to laugh while modeling. My least favorite part was changing in the car because that was not enough room to change my clothes. I think the commercial looks good for it to be my first time. There are some things that can be improved over time. I wish I could have done the scenes during the day time or when the sun was setting. I also wish I could have gone to the location I wanted to go to. I thought were I went was going to be a good place. It was good but it could have been better because I had to film in almost complete darkness. It was hard trying to find a good area with good enough light. I could have filmed on a different day but I couldn't. I look forward to my skills improving throughout the year. I feel like this whole process was really organized the way it was set up. Without this format, my stuff would probably be all over the place. The final commercial is somewhat different from the storyboard. In the storyboard, I had it going back and forth from women to men. In the final draft I had the women's clothing first and then the men's clothing.

 Hi. Welcome back to my blog. Today is March 8 and we still have not started filming. Our first filming date was supposed to be March 5 which was a day we had school. My group members also had to work. I knew from that that we wouldn’t have much success in filming together that day. As I stated before, most of the filming will be done at our own houses. This is because the covid-19 cases are still high. We’re trying not to be too close to each other during this process. While brainstorming for ideas for this film we thought of us having a conversation on the phone. This will show us all at our own houses. We will eventually meet up to film the last part of our movie. We just have to know each other’s schedules. Some days we want to record, I might have practice. 1.  How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues? My product uses conventions by using actual people instead of mannequins to model the clothes. It also uses conventions by having different angles. My product challenges conventions by using both genders in one commercial and I didn't use a green screen for my background. It represents social groups by helping people express themselves through clothing. It also allows videographers to perfect their craft. It represents social issues because there is a lack of representation for people of color in fashion, it promotes gender equality by having an equal amount of both gender models.
