 Hi, this is the second part of my filming blog. The song "Independent Women" is all about females being and becoming independent. Destiny's Child's song is encouraging women to be independent. They're showing that you don't need anyone to do anything for you. An independent woman does many things for herself. She pays her own bills, buys her own things, and doesn't let a man affect her stability. As I stated before, each one of us has our own part in the music video. Sarah's part is showing her being independent by her being at work. She's working so she can be stable by herself. It shows that she can do things on her own. It shows she doesn't need anyone else. Julie's part in the music video shows her being independent by paying for her own things. She doesn't need a man or anyone else to pay for the things she wants to buy for herself. St Flore's part is a clip of her running. She's independent enough to practice on her own. When she makes it to the Olympics, whether or not she has people with her, she will still be an independent woman. My part in the video shows me being independent by being a leader. It shows me leading my dance team. It shows that I don't have to depend on others to help me lead the team. I will be back later to take you through the process of editing our music video.

 Hi. Welcome back to my blog. Today is March 8 and we still have not started filming. Our first filming date was supposed to be March 5 which was a day we had school. My group members also had to work. I knew from that that we wouldn’t have much success in filming together that day. As I stated before, most of the filming will be done at our own houses. This is because the covid-19 cases are still high. We’re trying not to be too close to each other during this process. While brainstorming for ideas for this film we thought of us having a conversation on the phone. This will show us all at our own houses. We will eventually meet up to film the last part of our movie. We just have to know each other’s schedules. Some days we want to record, I might have practice. 1.  How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues? My product uses conventions by using actual people instead of mannequins to model the clothes. It also uses conventions by having different angles. My product challenges conventions by using both genders in one commercial and I didn't use a green screen for my background. It represents social groups by helping people express themselves through clothing. It also allows videographers to perfect their craft. It represents social issues because there is a lack of representation for people of color in fashion, it promotes gender equality by having an equal amount of both gender models.
