Creative Critical Reflection 1. How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues?     My product uses conventions by having matching outfits like they did in the video. We also had dancing in our video like the original. We also switched outfits like their video. The product challenges conventions because the video times were different. Ours was one minute long and their's was three minutes and 56 seconds. They also had fighting scenes like the scenes from the movie Charlie's Angels, we did not. We also had more group members in regards to Destiny's Child. We had four group members for Destiny's Child but they only had three. It represents social groups because the song is about women empowerment. These women came together collectively to form a group to speak specifically about the issues amongst women that is dependency that is on the opposite gender. When women speak on an issue together instead of as separate ind...

Music Video

Welcome back, after going through all the other steps with us, it's only fair you get to see the finished product.  This blog is to  talk about more thoughts that went through our heads   when making this  video.  One  thing my  group mates  and I could proudly say is that it did not turn out bad.  We realized that things may not always happen the way you plan  them,  so you  must always  have a backup plan just in ca se.   This video was a success  in  many different ways .   This video pushed us to learn new skills.  We were able to keep each other on top of our work and getting things done on time.  We made a great team.  Working on a task together with friends  ma de  the task way more enjoyable.  The workload  and stress  are  also dimmed down if the work is split correctly.  We didn’t want one group member to have a heavier workload than another. ...

editing

Hi guys, this is my editing blog. I will take you through our editing process for the music video. After filming our scenes, each of us edited our own music video and at the end we chose which one we liked the most. We did this so not only one person was doing all the editing. Our videos were very similar but they each had their own differences. We all decided to use different editing soft wares. We thought it might let us have different results by doing so. Sarah used iMovie for her video. I used CapCut to edit my video. St Flore used clipchamp. Julie used Openshot for her's. We reviewed each other's videos for a while. In the end we ended up choosing Sarah's version of the music video. We could have used a combination of all our videos but as I stated before, our videos were very similar. After we chose her video we realized that there was still some editing that needed to be done. We felt like some parts would go better with certain points in the song. We soon discussed...

Hi, this is the second part of my filming blog. The song "Independent Women" is all about females being and becoming independent. Destiny's Child's song is encouraging women to be independent. They're showing that you don't need anyone to do anything for you. An independent woman does many things for herself. She pays her own bills, buys her own things, and doesn't let a man affect her stability. As I stated before, each one of us has our own part in the music video. Sarah's part is showing her being independent by her being at work. She's working so she can be stable by herself. It shows that she can do things on her own. It shows she doesn't need anyone else. Julie's part in the music video shows her being independent by paying for her own things. She doesn't need a man or anyone else to pay for the things she wants to buy for herself. St Flore's part is a clip of her running. She's independent enough to practice on her own. ...
