Hi. Welcome back to my blog! I just got off of spring break. For my college tours I went to Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. I also went to North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. This is my first blog after coming back. We have agreed to come together and film this week. We will be filming on Thursday, April 1, 2021. This is the only day that everyone is available. The rest of the week, a couple of my group members have to go to work. When we film on Thursday we plan to film the ending of the movie. We will film this part at the mall or the park. We also plan to record the part where I get kidnapped. This will most likely be recorded in front of my house. The plan is to have me get ready to go to the mall with my friends. Because I get kidnapped, I never make it to the mall with them. After that, we will get everything together. St Flore will be the one to edit our film. Because we all have different phones and the first part of our movie will b...

Hi. Welcome back to the making of our final task. This is the last blog before we go on spring break. My group members and I decided not to film during our spring break. We would like to do the least amount of work as possible during this time. We want to be able to enjoy our break without worrying about school work. During spring break, I will be out of town most of the time. I will be doing college tours. I plan to film my parts again when I get back home. On our schedule, March 29th is our makeup day. This day is for any one of to record when we didn’t record on our designated day. It will also be used to re-record any scene we feel that needs to be recorded again. March 30th through April 5th are the days we will be editing the clips and getting peer reviews. We will have to see if that plan follows through. I think it’s good to get peer reviews so they can tell us what we should work on. They can also let us know what they think should go where and if we should change so...

Hi. Welcome back to the journey of the final task. In the last blog I talked about how I recorded my part and how I wanted to film it again later when I get my hair done. I don’t want it to look tacky when the task is done. I still have not gotten around to doing so. We have changed some things for the film. We changed the pitch of our movie due to our script. When the script was being written, our original pitch was not incorporated into our script. Because of that, we decided to just change the pitch instead of the script. Some of my group members said they already started filming at their houses so it would be better for us to just change the pitch of our film. In our original pitch, the lead role had 2 love interests. She was stuck between 2 guys. Our pitch now has only 1 love interest. “ Mingling with a taken guy, local teen is carefree, until she starts receiving messages that leads to her downfall.” This is our new pitch for the film. We didn’t think we would have enough ti...

Hi. Welcome back to my third follow up blog of the filming and editing. Between now and the time I did my last blog, I took the chance to film my part for the first scene. I am most likely going to film my part again before we actually start putting the movie together. I was having some difficulties trying the film myself. One issue I was having was the camera. I think it would be better if someone else was there to record. I was by myself so therefore, I had to leave the camera in one spot. I feel like that part of the scene would look better if I was kind of pacing back and forth. That way, whoever I get to record me can do a tracking shot for this. I also was having a hard time on where to position the camera. Do I want to see full body? Do I want from the waist up? Do i only to be able to see only my phone and my face? Do I want the scene to be shot from the back, looking over my shoulder? There were so many options to choose from. I honestly didn't know what angle I wanted. M...

Hi. Welcome back to my blog. Today is March 8 and we still have not started filming. Our first filming date was supposed to be March 5 which was a day we had school. My group members also had to work. I knew from that that we wouldn’t have much success in filming together that day. As I stated before, most of the filming will be done at our own houses. This is because the covid-19 cases are still high. We’re trying not to be too close to each other during this process. While brainstorming for ideas for this film we thought of us having a conversation on the phone. This will show us all at our own houses. We will eventually meet up to film the last part of our movie. We just have to know each other’s schedules. Some days we want to record, I might have practice. Some other days we might want to record, some of the group members may have work. These are the types of obstacles we ran into the last time we had to film something. We always get past them though so it’s ok. The ending pa...

Filming and Editing

Image
Hi. This is my first filming and editing blog for our final task. Since covid-19 is still around, most of our filming will be done from our houses. This is to ensure our safety. Most of the scenes involve us being on the phone with each other. This is where I tell them an important piece of information. We eventually end up at the mall but someone does not show up. We have not started filming as of yet. Our schedule states that we will start filming on March 5, 2021. I do not think that's going to happen. It may happen though since the first part of our film is separate and we will be at our own houses anyway. Most of the group members have jobs with different timed schedules. We haven't set times for anything yet. Last time we had to figure out what days everyone didn't have to work. Even after we figured that out, we did not start the day we said we would. We're going to start filming soon but I don't know exactly when we will start. I may just record my part and...
